HOW WE MET:

Jack's Perspective

One month into the second semester at Tulane University in 2017... Sarah was in her final semester of Senior year. Jack was adjusting back to NOLA after doing his first semester of Junior year abroad in Europe.

While running in similar circles with many overlapping friends, Jack and Sarah had never spoken to each other up until one ~wild and rowdy~ pregame for a 60’s themed party. Sarah, in a (“awful” according to her) flower romper, was cracking up in a frat house kitchen watching a video of her friend tumbling down a ski trail. Her smile and laugh were radiating, and Jack, in an outrageous Beach Boys shirt and leather jacket, decided to go over and ask her what was so funny. We hit it off right away and quickly realized how well we meshed. We started talking daily & were dating within a month of that evening.

At the end of the semester, Sarah graduated and moved to NYC. Jack had one year left remaining at school. We powered through one year of long distance before reconnecting in NYC after Jack (barely… (jk)) graduated. We spent our first few years living in separate apartments with friends (at one point on the SAME block), then finally in 2022, Jack and Sarah moved in together in the West Village. In June of 2023, Jack proposed (at JFK) to Sarah.

Sarah smiling and laughing (both with and at Jack) has remained a consistent theme through multiple cities and multiple apartments. Our happiness together has helped us power through some tough times and allowed us to thrive during great times over these past 7 years. We both can’t wait to celebrate and share our joy with you all in Vermont!!!
